Foreign Object Damage - Providing sites and resources with fod magnets for manufacturing and industry.

Foreign Object Damage Magnets Foreign object damage magnets pick up any kind of ferrous debris. (That is any material that has iron in it.) Examples would be staples, nails, scraps of metal bolts, foil and ground iron particles. Obviously companies retailing magnets are going to have different makes and models of magnet cleaning devices. This variety gives the buyer various options for each job. For the smaller construction company, there are magnets that can be pushed in the similar way a dolly is. They are constructed with two wheels and push handlebars. Around the construction site, foreign object damage can slow production. There are magnets made that can be attached to back of a truck without a special configuration. They are easily attached or removed which makes them versatile on the job site.

On a larger scale, airports need a magnet that will pick up debris off of an airport runway and there are magnets made specifically to attach to airport tugs. The magnets are created in different strengths to pick up the debris. The greater the grade and quality of the magnet will result in quick clean up and save in huge costs to the airport companies. Generally the optimum height of these magnets from the ground is three to five inches. Magnets in length of anywhere from two to eight feet wide can used depending on the size machine the magnets are attached to. Magnets can be mounted on forklifts, yard trucks, push-tugs and maintenance vehicles. As anyone knows, time is money. Money is saved when foreign objects do not cause flat tires on airplanes or on construction sites.
